KnoWhat is a browser-based application and also a device that should be in every supermarket. With KnoWhat, products in the supermarket can be scanned and compared. This allows consumers to decide before buying whether the ingredients meet their needs and dietary goals. Furthermore, KnoWhat explains the production process of the respective ingredients in a simplified and clear way.
The design of KnoWhat was developed through several iterations, with a focus on simple and intuitive operation. The final version was then implemented in Illustrator, but deliberately kept very 'flat'.
To explain how the device works, an animation was created. This shows the individual steps from product recognition to the display of ingredients.
